Please keep in mind that your iHear device was meticulously calibrated before leaving our facilities. Re-calibration is not needed unless prompted by the iHear Medical Team.
Do not initiate re-calibration unless prompted by iHear Medical's professional or customer support. If you attempt to perform an unnecessary calibration test, your device may lock. You will not be able to reprogram your device until calibration check passes.
The calibration check may not pass under certain conditions:
- There is too much noise in the room.
For example: when there is traffic noise, vibrations from people walking around, etc.
Solution: The calibration check must be done in a quiet room and the device placed on a soft surface. For example do not put it on a table. Use a soft pad or pillow if you are running into bad calibration.
- The earphone nozzle may not have been properly inserted into the calibration cavity.
Solution: Please insert the nozzle fully into the calibration cavity. You will hear a click and feel slightly more resistance as you push the nozzle into the cavity.
